Meet Widi Asmoro!

He was formerly known as a representative from SONY MUSIC Indonesia. Together with the company, he succeeded in bringing many great talents such as Sheila On 7, PADI, Cokelat, Anggun, Julian Cely, Tata Young, and L’Arc~en~Ciel to the Indonesian market. He was awarded "Employee of the Year" in 2006, in persisting of using online media to promote music artists.

He resigned from the company in 2008 but still keeping his passion in music by managing an indie band, Everybody Loves Irene. TIME Magazine Asia, with no match alike in Asia, and also many positive critics by local publication such as Kompas and others as well. In 2009, this band did an Asia tour to Singapore and Filipina. This band also received the Asia Voice Independent Music Awards for the best moody-melancholic masterpiece tracks. He also help other musicians such as thedyingsirens and Astrid Sartiasari as their music publicist.

Widi Asmoro graduated from Gunadarma University majoring Informatics System in 2004, and took his master degree in London School of Public Relation majoring Marketing Communication. He holds certificate from Cambridge International Diploma in Management, Microsoft Access & Netware. His keen interest concerning online media has made him as online specialist in well-known international media agency, Starcom IP, from April 2008. The agency itself works with reputable brands such as Mead Johnson, Samsung, and P&G.

He joined m-Stars, a well-known brand from PT. Antar Mitra Prakasa in the late 2008 and share his vision & enthusiasm to the company. He was in charge in promoting LiLO-the online game, m-iklan.com-self serviced mobile advertising agency, and also the SMS Premium Business. After 9 months, he decided to expand his career in Media Nusantara Citra, a holding media group for RCTI, TPI, Global TV, Trijaya, etc in Indonesia, as Creative Manager in VAS division. His role is creating new SMS/mobile products & delivers them to the market.

In 2010 he is back in music business by becoming a Music Editor for Nokia Ovi Music Services.
